Government Motto

E Pluribus Unum is the government motto. It stands for: "from many, one." I believe that this motto accurately represents the past, present, and future of our nation. It began as a way to symbolize how thirteen colonies banded together to cut the ties with Great Britain. The motto shows how our nation came together during a terrible time in our history.
Although it may not seem plausible, the motto also applies to our country today. In recent history our nation has been divided on many major topics. Our motto is there to remind us that as we have always had division we are still together, as a nation, and a united force that is still powerful in the global stage.
We may not be able to tell what the future will hold for our nation but I believe that E Pluribus Unum will be an important factor to remember while the arguments between governmental parties continue
